Archit Maheshwari
With over 12 years of experience in creating and curating travel experiences and 7 years of professional practice in architecture, Archit’s journey has always been rooted in a simple belief: the past should not be left behind; it should inspire the way we build the future.
Born and brought up within the historic Walled City of Jaipur, Archit grew up learning from the city itself. Its streets, buildings, people, crafts, traditions, and ever-changing character became his classroom. His understanding of Jaipur was shaped not just by books or formal education, but by years of observing how the city lives, evolves, responds, and preserves its identity.
His journey began early, and over the years he founded a platform dedicated to discovering places beyond conventional tourism. For Archit, exploring a city is not about simply visiting landmarks and ticking destinations off a list. It is about walking through its neighbourhoods, meeting its people, understanding its crafts, observing everyday life, and discovering the stories hidden within its streets and buildings.
As an architect, he is particularly interested in the relationship between traditional knowledge and contemporary design. His vision is to bring forgotten building techniques, crafts, materials, and cultural practices into conversation with modern ideas creating a bridge between what was, what is, and what can be.
Through his work, Archit continues to explore ways of preserving the architectural character, cultural traditions, crafts, and living heritage of Rajasthan. His approach is not simply about conserving old buildings; it is about keeping the knowledge, stories, skills, and communities connected to them alive.
For him, heritage is not something frozen in time.
It is something we inherit, experience, reinterpret, and pass forward.
