Gangaur Festival Walk – Experience
Jaipur’s Most Elegant Royal Celebration
Celebrate the Spirit of Gangaur with the People of Jaipur
Step into the heart of Rajasthan’s most graceful and vibrant festival with our Gangaur
Festival Walk, an immersive cultural experience that takes you beyond the celebrations and
into the traditions that have been cherished for centuries. Celebrated with immense devotion
across Rajasthan, Gangaur is one of Jaipur’s most significant festivals, dedicated to Goddess
Gauri, the symbol of love, prosperity, fertility, and marital bliss.
Beginning shortly after Holi, the festival continues for 16 colorful days, during which
married women pray for the health and longevity of their husbands, while unmarried women
seek the blessings of Goddess Gauri for an ideal life partner. Every street of Jaipur comes
alive with devotional songs, beautifully decorated idols, colorful attire, traditional rituals, and
festive energy.
The grand finale is one of the city’s most spectacular cultural events. The magnificent Royal
Gangaur Procession emerges from the historic City Palace, featuring beautifully adorned
elephants, royal chariots, decorated horses, traditional palanquins, folk musicians, dancers,
and ceremonial guards. As the procession winds through the pink-hued streets of Jaipur
before concluding at Talkatora, visitors witness a living tradition that has been preserved by
Jaipur’s royal family for generations.
Our Gangaur Walk offers an authentic opportunity to experience this extraordinary
celebration alongside local families, understand its deep cultural significance, and witness
Jaipur at its most festive and beautiful.
