Blue Pottery Experience – Jaipur

Jaipur’s Blue Pottery is a distinctive craft with Persian and Central Asian influences, introduced to India via the Mughal courts and later patronised by the Jaipur royals in the 19th century. Unlike conventional clay pottery, this craft uses a quartz-based body and is known for its vibrant cobalt-blue motifs, floral patterns, and intricate hand-painting. Today, Jaipur remains the main centre preserving this delicate and labour-intensive art form.
